Pottery Painting in York, Pennsylvania
It's finally here! We are now offering workshops for children (age 10+) and adults making fused glass pieces and dichroic glass. Check out our Facebook page and the Monthly section of the website for our current offerings. Warm glass is fun and easy and offers another great way for you to be creative making all sorts of beautiful pieces: jewelry, windchimes, decorative vases, plates, suncatchers, ornaments and whatever else you can think of! Come try your hand at something new.
How It Works
You pick a piece of pottery you want, we help you with color selection, and we will teach you techniques to paint your piece. Then, you come back in a week to pick up your piece after it has been fired in the kiln. We have just about anything you could want, from superhero and zombie pottery to functional serving platters, vases, and teapots.
No Studio Fees!
The price on the piece you select is the price you pay (plus sales tax). You are not charged extra for glazing, use of brushes or firing. We are a walk-in studio so you can come in anytime without a reservation to paint.
The atmosphere at the Prancing Pig Pottery is conducive to creativity. We take pride in the fact that our pottery studio is one-of-a-kind, and pride ourselves on the customer experience. We go out of our way to ensure our customers are having a great time.
The Prancing Pig is staffed with people knowledgeable in the art of pottery painting as well as teaching ceramics. The Assistant Manager is a certified ceramics instructor and our studio cat, Crash, is expert at greeting painters and helping them get started. If you are allergic to or just don't like cats please let us know. He has a special place where he can be kept!
